About the company
360Cities was founded in 2007 as a publishing platform for panorama photographers who wanted to show off their spherical 360° panoramas in an interactive environment. At that time, interactive 360° photography was virtually unknown outside of a relatively small group of photography enthusiasts and there were no online services available that supported interactive 360° photography. We began licensing our stock images and paying our contributors royalties from the license sales back in 2011. We have grown our contributor base, customer base, and revenue every year since then. Currently 360cities.net is the largest collection of stunning, geo-referenced, interactive panoramic photos, created by a network of thousands of the finest panorama photographers from around the world. 360Cities is the leading source of 360° media in publishing, advertising & film, mobile app & game development, and, increasingly, in a VR (virtual reality) environment.
